Research Working Group

The Research Working Group provides an expert reference group to support the development and implementation of the South West Secure data environment research strategy. This includes prioritising research themes, data assets and regional use cases, as well as driving partnerships and engagement across the South West region.

Membership of the group represents the research needs of the region, with representation from Universities and the NHS from across the whole South West, plus Digital Critical Friends. Members are chosen to cover a broad range of perspectives in health data research, for example primary and secondary care research, genomics.

Together they provide a broad view of institutional and funder priorities in the region to help ensure the SDE remains aligned to regional and national priorities, keeping patient benefit at the heart of its activities.
